Me and my buddy shit talk our stock picks pretty often, its fun to make fun of each other in the short term, but since we aren’t day trading or being regarded with options it’s hard to hold an actual basis for our picks on the time horizon long enough that it mapps to how we actually trade.
TLDR- We just wanted to build our own ‘bundle of stocks’ essentially etf’s. There doesn’t seem to be a good platform to do out of the box so we spun up our own.
Super basic process, runs on streamlit locally on my own vps. Hits yahoo finance unofficial lib (yFinance) to get most current data.
Was super easy, fun build, I think next year we might try to do this more in a fantasy football type manner with a draft and staking money.
